Natural or artificial edible packaging protects the food, produces no residue and can be as nutritious and tasty as the filling

Eating the peel of foods like vegetables, greens and fruits brings you lots of advantages. In addition to avoiding waste, these parts of the food are so rich in nutrients that even the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has recommended their consumption. A few years ago, scientists and researchers have been developing solutions for packaging that emulate the qualities of nature-natural packaging through biomimicry. These include protecting food while maintaining properties such as color, taste and aroma, not generating waste and nutritional facts.
