The great indigenous influence in culture

From north to south of the American continent, the culture of millions of native people often comprises the languages, culinary and habits of modern society. See some of the best examples

The cultural melting pot giving rise to American societies is unique in the world. The region was colonized by the Portuguese, the Spanish and the English; and received millions of people from other European, African and Asian countries. Bear in mind, the continent was already inhabited by millions of native people such as Tupi-Guarani, Inca and Iroquois. The many indigenous cultures merged into society and are present until today: in dictionaries, at the table and in our routine – daily showers and even chocolate are great examples.
