Female entrepreneurship: women start most new businesses

Globally, women start 51,2% of all new businesses. In Brazil, there are 8 million female entrepreneus, most of which are heads of the family

In Brazil, the number of female entrepreneurs rose by 34% between the years 2000 and 2014. Today, there are more than 8 million female entrepreneus in the country, 75% of which have yearly earnings of R$ 24,000 (US$ 6,000). And in 40% of Brazilian homes where women are the providers, 41% of these women  have their own businesses. Globally, women start 51,2% of all news businesses.
