What is global warming and how does it work?

As the most dangerous consequence of the climate change process, global warming can irreversibly affect the planet

Today, the Earth's average temperature is 1°C higher than the average from last century. And if the planet warms up by 1°C, it may change forever. The polar ice caps can melt and the oceans can rise up to 7 meters, meaning over 12 million people can face flooding in South America alone. According to the UN, possible solutions are the use of clean energy sources, the reversal of deforestation and a more conscious global consumption.
