The Dutch designer Daan Roosegaarde makes rings from a material akin to a diamond, originated through physical and chemical processes that transforms pollution powder in “think smog”. The jewels developed by him are part of Stedelijk Museum art collection, in Amsterdam. The first Smog Free Tower had place in Rotterdam, Netherland, and reduced by up to 45% the presence of pollution particles within a 20-meter radius of the tower - it has a maximum capacity to clean up to 30,000 m³/hour, in a low energy consumption system.
