According to the Brazilian National Waters Agency, 72% of all fresh water in the country is used by agriculture. In the last 20 years, water consumption in the field has risen by 80% and forecasts indicate that it can rise by another 30% in a decade. Developing and implementing new sustainable solutions in water consumption, like drip irrigation, is a possible way out. A technology developed by NaanDan Jain, for example, was implemented by the Jales Machado company, and increased water efficiency to 96%. Learn more by watching the video.
